Hound Bagle Hound Basset Hound / Beagle Hybrid Dogs The Bagle Hound is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Basset Hound and the Beagle. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses. "This is my little Bagle, Zo-Wee, a Beagle and Basset Hound mix. Zo-Wee has more personality than some people I know. This picture shows her at 6 years old. Her colors aren't as pronounced in her face as they were when she was younger. She weighs 28 pounds and has bursts of boundless energy followed by hours of snoozing. She talks about everything and sometimes wears a citronella collar because her enthusiasm can be a bit loud. Throughout her life she's had excellent health, but like basset hounds, requires frequent ear cleaning. She's the sweetest dog I've ever known!"

Gimli is a Bassett Hound and Beagle mix (Bagle Hound). "He is five years old in this pic, and varies between periods of frenzied activity (when he is hunting or walking in the woods) and times of deepest slumber (any time he isn't hunting and walking in the woods!)."
