Rescue a Poolky Poolky Silky Terrier / Poodle Hybrid Dogs The Poolky is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Silky Terrier and the Poodle. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses. "Cupcake the Silkypoo, which is a mix between a Silky Terrier and a Poodle. She is very loving. During the day, she is quite energetic. But at night, she is a calm lap dog. She is a terrific watch dog, but it can get annoying if she barks at the wind or a stray leaf. If you work hard at training, she learns well. She responds best to treats. By calling "cookie come" and "Cupcake cookie", she started coming to "come" and "Cupcake". She enjoys toys, but will sometimes grab stuffed animals, socks, shoes, and underwear."
