Rescue a Shih-Mo Shih-Mo American Eskimo / Shih Tzu Hybrid The Shih-Mo is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the
American Eskimo and the
Shih Tzu. The best way to
determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross
and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in
either breed.
Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50%
purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed
multi-generation crosses. Siubak, the Shih-Mo (American Eskimo / Shih Tzu hybrid) at 14 months old and 9.5 lbs. "From his purebred Shih Tzu father he got the extremely soft coat that doesn’t shed. The long legs are from his miniature American Eskimo mother. He is eager to please, very happy, knows many tricks and is VERY obedient. Despite being such a little dog, he is a good exercise partner, he loves running along side my bike, and he can go for hours before he slows down to take a drink, and go again."
