"This is my Boskimo named Murfy at almost 2 years old. His father is a Boston Terrier and his mom is ½ Boston / ½ mini American Eskimo. He has the pointy ears and fur like the Eskimo and the nub tail of a Boston. He is into agility, a very fast runner and he is an excellent high jumper. He is very quirky, shy until he gets to know you. He loves other dogs. His favorite games are tug-of-war or fetch. He really enjoys chasing his brother Diesel the Chihuahua."

Description

The Boskimo is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the American Eskimo and the Boston Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

Fozzie Bear the Boskimo (Boston Terrier and American Eskimo hybrid)—"This is my Boskimo named Fozzie. Fozzie's mom is a purebred Boston Terrier and dad is a purebred American Eskimo dog. Fozzie has a great temperament and gets along very well with kids. Fozzie requires a good deal of exercise so I usually take him for a long run about 5 to 6 times a week... he is very fast when let off of his leash. One of his favorite games is chasing tennis balls in the backyard. Fozzie is a wonderful companion dog and is genuinely happy to see me when I return home from work. Fozzie barks only when someone comes to the front door, otherwise he is a very quiet, well-mannered dog. His only quirk is his irrational fear of road and sewer grates. He will jut out into traffic to avoid a grate...so I must keep a tight grip on his leash. Fozzie’s weight is 22 lbs."

"Angel the Boskimo at almost 9 months old—Angel's mom is a registered American Eskimo and her dad a registered Boston Terrier. Angel is a classic goofball full of energy and pranks. When you open the front door she runs outside and jumps into the swimming pool or livestock tank, splashes around biting the water then she will come back and scratch at the door to be let in. After you let her in and you sit down she will run and jump on your lap when wet. She gets a kick out of seeing you jump when you get wet. She is very loyal and sleeps at my feet when I am on the computer and also when I go to bed. She loves to give kisses also and is great with kids and other animals. She is so loving you have to push her away at times."
