Brutus the Broholmer / Pit Bull Terrier mixed breed dog at 2 years old—"Brutus is a special and considerably rare mix breed dog. He is 1/2 American Pit Bull Terrier and 1/2 Broholmer (aka Danish Mastiff). Brutus's predominant genes come from his Mastiff background. His thick haired red coat, saber style tail and large size are all Mastiff. His head shape and ears are Pit Bull. He is an impressive character standing 28 inches (71 cm) in height (foot to shoulder) and weighing in at 110 pounds (50 kg)."
The Broholmer Pit is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Broholmer and the Pit Bull Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
