Neapolitan Mastiff / German Shepherd Mixed Breed Dogs

Information and Pictures

A large breed brown brindle dog with a black face, ears that fold to the sides, brown eyes, a big black nose with large paws laying on a couch

Duke Neapolitan Mastiff / German Shepehrd mix breed dog at 4 years old—"Duke is a beautiful dog and shows traits from both breeds. He is a slow learner but shows "higher" intelligence like many large dogs. He is a loyal guard dog but can still be gentle with small kids and puppies. He can be stubborn sometimes but gets that from his Neapolitan Mastiff half. He absolutely loves to swim and chew up anything into a million pieces with extremely powerful jaws. Definitely one of the best mix breeds possible, I could not of sculpted and colored him better myself!"

Description

The Neapolitan Shepherd is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Neapolitan Mastiff and the German Shepherd. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
