Boxer / Akita Mixed Breed Dogs

Information and Pictures

"This is my dog Sabo. He is a Boxer / Akita mix but we like to call him a Boxita. Sabo is a fun and energetic puppy. He was born on Halloween from a litter of 11. We got him when he was only 6 weeks old. He loves to play with other dogs at the dog park and is really great with kids. He is the perfect mix of a Boxer and an Akita because of his great loyalty to his owners and his colourings and size. Sabo has been a great dog, always entertaining and keeping me on my toes. He is almost a year old and it feels like only yesterday he was a cute, cuddly puppy."

Description

The Boxita is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Boxer and the Akita. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

Aldo the Boxita at 1 1/2 years old; he is 3/4 Akita 1/4 Boxer—"This dog was a perfect fit!!! We chose him (1 of 8) immediately...our first family pet in our first home (at the time our boy was 4 months). Aldo rode the whole 30-minute drive in my lap. My grandma had an Akita mix, the price and breed (did my research before purchasing a dog) was right. This dog fit right in!!! He is VERY sweet, protective, and he loves our son (best friends)! He had a slight chewing problem for a few months, but he got right over it, he’s VERY sweet and PERFECT!!! We couldn't be happier with our Aldo dog, big lug!"
