Cairo the tricolor Basenji at 18 months old—his owner says, "He loves to have his picture taken and to model. He weighs 23 pounds and is 16.9 inches tall. He is an Energizer bunny when it comes to play."

Cairo the Basenji running around a yard with a thick stick in its mouth

Cairo the tricolor Basenji at 18 months old—"Though pictured twice with a stick, Cairo obstinately does not play fetch. He will chase and catch a stick, but once he's caught it, it's his. Sometimes he carries it around for about 10 minutes, racing in circles around the house, or the yard, challenging you to take it out of his mouth as he comes by. If you can, then the game continues! If not, he chews it for up to fifteen minutes before getting bored."

"Cairo loves to run. He had an injured leg for a few weeks in his younger years, and even on three legs he was faster than any of the humans in his family."
