Luka aka "Cool Hand Luka" the Cavador (Lab / Cavalier mix breed dog)

Description

The Cavador is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Labrador Retriever. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

"Just a quick update on our precious little boy Jett: He is now 10 months and about 50 pounds (23 kgs). He is such a great dog!! I think in the whole time we have had him we have heard him bark maybe 5 times?? And only when necessary. As he is getting that little bit older he is becoming more and more cuddly. He loves his snuggles on the couch with us at night and looooves to play fetch! We have got many tricks down pat; he no longer needs to be coaxed along with treats. He has been very easy to train!! He used the doggy door right from the moment we put it in and was totally toilet trained within the first 6-8 weeks we brought him home. He is the best thing we ever did!!"

Close Up - Rani the Cavador is laying on a persons chest

"We have had the privilege of "belonging" to Rani (black), our beautiful Cavador for 4 1/2 years now. I bought her for my partner Greg and as you can see she loves nothing more than to cuddle up to her daddy any chance she can get. Rani is highly intelligent, has been extremely easy to train and only wants to please, and when she looks at us with her eyes we melt. She loves to play catch with her toys and when I buy her a new one it is the one she has to bring into the house with her."
