Erika the Somali cat at about 1 year old. "She's a ruddy Somali with gold-ish eyes that sometimes have a green tint (in the right light). She's not show quality, but we still love her to bits."
The Somali is long and lean.
It has a soft, silky, longish coat of uniquely ticked hairs (up to 10-12 bands).
Colors include: blue, ruddy and red. The eyes are gold or green.
This is an athletic, wild looking, yet gentle, soft-voiced and companionable cat.
