"Diezel is a Golden Retriever and Bullmastiff mix and at 2 years of age she weighs approximately 78 lbs. She has the Golden Retriever temperament, being very friendly with people she knows and very loving. However, she also has protective tendencies, announcing the arrival of anybody on the property and stopping people in their tracks. She's tall like the Bullmastiff but has the long Golden Retriever fur, which needs regular brushing. She has quite a bit of energy and loves to play and run. She also loves the water! She's also quite a vocal dog (likes to "talk" back)."

Description

The Golden Bullmastiff Retriever is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Bullmastiff and the Golden Retriever. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in any of the breeds in the hybrid. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

"When Diezel was a puppy we had to work through some stubbornness on her part but now she is the best dog we have! She's extremely obedient and faithful. She doesn't wander from our side when we go on walks (we hardly ever put her on a leash). She's not dog aggressive, likes to chase our cats (but is friendly), loves people generally and has an overall wonderful temperament. She's an intelligent dog with a great sense of humor!"
