Gordon Chesabay

Gordon Setter / Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mixed Breed Dogs

Information and Pictures

A large breed black puppy with long hound-looking ears, a long tail, dark eyes and a black nose sitting down

"Guinness the Gordon Chesabay, a Gordon Setter / Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix as a puppy at 3 months old. He is extremely playful, quick to learn, very quiet indoors and loves all people and other dogs he meets. He is a bit destructive if he is not regularly exercised, but that is the only drawback I could note. He is muddy black which looks beautiful in the sunlight and has developed a lot of wavy Chesapeake hair running down the middle of his back."

Description

The Gordon Chesabay is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Chesapeake Bay Retriever and the Gordon Setter. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
