"This is my Brussels Griffon / Cairn Terrier mix breed dog named Lincoln as a puppy at 6 months old. He is a very good dog. He was easily house trained with only a few accidents in the house. He is a HIGHLY intelligent breed and has learned several commands quickly. He was easily crate trained. He has been a blessing to our house. He is very lazy for a puppy and loves to lay around. He does not require much exercise. He likes to fetch and play with toys. He is much like the Griffon in the fact that he is a "one person" dog. He follows me everywhere I go inside the house. He hates clippers, vacuums, or anything with a buzzing motor. He is a wonderful dog."
The Griffairn Terrier is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Brussels Griffon and the Cairn Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

However, he does not like anyone to approach me without my permission. He is very independent, but likes to sit on my lap (all day if I let him). He is very confident even though he only weighs 8 pounds. Most people think he’s a puppy because he is very energetic and spry. When it’s time to go outside or eat he becomes very authoritative and he will grab you by the pant leg and usher you to his desired location. He like a lot of attention and will sing “Happy Birthday” with you (his favorite song). The only problem I have with him thus far is that he does not like my husband to show me any affection, if he tries to kiss me Senge will attack. We very happy with our little boy and we are very pleased to have him in our lives."

"Buzz is my Briffon x Cairn Terrier mix. He is a 4-month-old puppy in this picture. His mother is a brindle Griffon and dad a Cairn Terrier. He is fantastic. A well behaved, super obident pup who happily walks off the lead for an hour daily (needs it or gets restless!). Can be very over excited but super friendly with children and other dogs. Very intelligent. Loves lots of love and hugs."
