Josie the Patterdale Doxie (Dachshund / Patterdale Terrier mix) at 1 year old—"Here is sweet Josie, a spunky scruffy-faced young girl who is the light of lives. We found her at a canine rescue organization. She is so full of life and love; we couldn't imagine our lives without her. We lost our beloved Petunia, and didn't know when we would be able to let another furry friend into our hearts. The very second I saw Josie and she jumped into my lap, I knew that time had arrived."

Description

The Patterdale Doxie is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Dachshund and the Patterdale Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
