Information and Pictures

Lola the Redbone Coonhound/ Shepherd mix as a puppy at 6 months old—"We adopted Lola from our local S.P.C.A. when she was 6 weeks old. She is so smart, and so food motivated. Training five minutes, five or more times a day have been so successful and a pleasure. She is all about the routine and very vocal when walk times and feeding times are ticking near. She only barks when needed, and grumbles alot when she is told no."

Description

The Redbone Shepherd is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Redbone Coonhound and the German Shepherd. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
