Golden Rottie Retriever

Golden Retriever / Rottweiler Mixed Breed Dogs

Information and Pictures

A blak and tan thick-coated, large-breed dog standing outside with her pink tongue hanging out looking happy.

"This is our Golden Rott Retriever at 8 years old. Her name is Bella. We rescued her as a 3 month old pup and every step of the way has been more than enjoyable. She was fairly easy to train and we thankfully haven’t had any subordination or health problems. She is the most sweet and loving dog we could have asked for. When someone arrives to our house she is the first to let us know with her few barks waiting at the door then proceeds to lick and get excited with greeting them but then proceeds to turn into her mello self after a couple minutes. She’s pretty smart and can answer to a few tricks without losing focus. We had a cat and a few years back got a smaller dog, a Havanese, who she became close buds with. She lets our smaller dog lay right in front of her chest while she’s laying down, so cute!. Overall a very loving dog who loves being pet and chilling on the couch with us."

Description

The Golden Rottie Retriever is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Golden Retriever and the Rottweiler. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
