Twilight the Irish Dane at 1 year old—"Twilight is the best of both breeds. Loves to play with his best bud, a Toy Poodle. Very easy to train, gets everything within 2 to 3 tries. Right now he is 26 inches and growing. Best dog ever. Favorite game is to spin in circles really fast and then jump as high as he can. Hasn't made a smooth landing yet."
The Irish Dane is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Irish Wolfhound and the Great Dane. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
