He won us over when we first saw his adoption picture. We arrived at the shelter 10 minutes later and applied and got him. He is wonderful, always happy, playful and very smart. He holds the door open for me when I bring in the groceries and waits before running up the stairs behind me, as I am a very active senior. His favorite toy is his chicken and his favorite activity is going to the dog park and wrestling with his buddy who is a Mastiff/Lab mix."

Description

The Aussie Malamute is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Alaskan Malamute and the Australian Shepherd. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up allbreeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
