It is your sole responsibility to fully investigate any rescue that you may adopt an animal from. The Dog Breed Info Center® does not endorse, guarantee or recommend any particular rescue or their animals and we are not responsible for any of the rescues listed. Rescues listed are not examined by independent authorities or by the Dog Breed Info Center®. We STRONGLY recommend that you do your homework before adopting any type of animal. Fully check out the rescue you are dealing with. Ask them if they require spaying or neutering of their animals. Find a rescue that seems to care about the welfare of the animal they are adopting out. If the rescue does not ask you any questions about your home life and the conditions the animal will be living in, our advice is to steer clear of that rescue. A good rescue cares where their animals end up. A good rescue should never get annoyed at your questions even if they appear to be petty. There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. You should feel comfortable asking the rescue any questions that are on your mind. If the rescue makes you feel uncomfortable asking any questions related to the animal, steer clear.
When you are looking to adopt your new pet, BE SMART. Do your homework. Investigate the rescue and the type of animal you are looking to adopt. All pets are different and require different types of homes and owners. We recommend you go to sites such as the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints filed against the person you are thinking about adopting a pet from.
