Mobitz the Boston Cattle Dog at 1 year old— "Mobitz is a Boston Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix, shown here at 1 year old. She is energetic and loving, always happy to play a game of fetch or lay her head on my lap while I read a book on the couch. Mobi gets along with her brother, Moses, a two year old Egyptian Mau cat and the two play together often. Mobi is often mischevious, stealimg socks and taking them back to her bed where she hides them. Mobi can jump very high and is very agile, lending to her skills as an agility dog. Mobi does well living in an apartment and handling my 12 hour shifts as a Paramedic as long as she gets a long walk when I return home. Mobi also loves to herd the miniature horses and goats at my parents house. She is very trainable and loves to learn, knowing many tricks and commands."
The Boston Cattle Dog is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Australian Cattle Dog and the Boston Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breedmulti-generation crosses.
Note: the Australian Cattle Dog is also called Australian Heeler, Hall's Heeler, Queensland Heeler, Blue Heeler, Red Heeler, Australian Cattledog and Australischer Treibhund.

"Cody is a Boston Cattle Dog (Australian Cattle Dog x Boston Terrier mix). He is an agility champion and LOVES the sport! He is fairly dog aggressive, though and will get into fights with strange dogs. He is very devoted to me and is a vigilant watchdog."
