"This is Sandy, or "The Poom" as we most affectionately call her, at one year. What an amazing change! She has brought nothing but joy to our family with her fun-loving personality and nerves of steel. She is most definitely the smartest of the three dogs and is not afraid to open doors, cabinets and anything else she can get herself into. Sandy enjoys chasing birds, balls and her loyal subjects (the other dogs). She's also a very lovable lap dog, extremely affectionate."
The Silkin is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Japanese Chin and the Silky Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

"This is our 5-week-old baby Silkin puppy named Sandy. She is already showing signs of a leader and stands up to our 90-pound Pointer mix! She plays with a ball, moves it with her nose and plays soccer with her front paws! She was bred with a Japanese Chin and a Silky Terrier."
