Information and Pictures

"This is my Silkinese (Pekingese / Silky Terrier mix) puppy at 12 weeks old. His name is Scooter. His mom was a Pekingese and his father a Silky Terrier. He has a very sweet personality, is very bright and is a total joy to be around. He lives in our home with my husband, me and our two children. We also have two cats and a rabbit, and he does very well with them (if the cats would accept him)."

Description

The Silkinese is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Silky Terrier and the Pekingese. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
