Shorkie Tzu Shorkie Tzu Shih Tzu / Yorkie Hybrid Dogs The Shorkie Tzu is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Shih Tzu and the Yorkshire Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses. "This is Charlie Bear. He is a Shih Tzu / Yorkie aka Shorkie, shown here at 2 years old. He is the sweetest and most mellow little boy. He's perfectly well behaved and loves being outdoors, swimming in the ocean, playing with kitties and cuddling. Charlie doesn't have any bad habits or behavior problems. He was a little hard to potty-train as a baby, but now has gotten the hang of it. He is shy and has been since he was a baby. He loves people and other animals and doesn't have a mean bone in his body."
