Ella the Pomston (Boston Terrier / Pomeranian mix breed dog) at 1 year old—"She is a 14-pound, very active little pooch. She has the tail and face of a Pom, and the disposition, under-bite, eyes and legs of a Boston. She keeps us active all the time and makes us laugh continuously. She is a very unusual little dog and a real sweetheart that is a great combo of the 2 breeds which we have owned in the past."
The Pomston is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Boston Terrier and the Pomeranian. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

"This is Cookie, a Pomston pup. The mother is pure Boston Terrier and the father is pure Pomeranian. The puppy has very much the build of the Boston Terrier and temperament as well. This 7-week-old hyper, playful pup loves to play tug-of-war, among other things terriers like to do. The nose and skull took the mother’s head; only thing I can really notice from the father is that it has the fox-like hair on the back of the pup and she likes to bark like a Pom. She looks like a mini Pit Bull!"

"This is my Pomston, Dixie. She is extremely smart and wonderful with kids. She loves swimming and playing catch and going for long walks, and she really loves playing with her sister Mollie, a Boston Terrier. She's the most loving dog I have ever had. She is very gentle, curious and energetic. She overheats quickly while playing ball, but she is smart enough to know she can jump in the pool to cool off and she's ready to go again. She's a great friend and she loves playing in the snow. She's an all-around perfect dog."
