Ticks, Lyme Disease and Guinea Fowl

Keeping Guineas as Pets

The best way to tell the sex of a guinea fowl is the sound they make. The males make a one syllable sound like "Chi-Chi, Chi-Chi". The females have a two syllable sound as in "Buck Wheat, Buck Wheat". The males have larger wattles than the female, and a larger helmet.
